What’s the application of Methylene Blue?
Alkaline Lake Blue BB is mainly used for dyeing cotton, acrylic, hemp, and silk, with the poor fastness and sunlight fastness of 2-3 levels. It is also used for paper dyeing, bamboo, and wood coloring, as well as manufacturing ink and color precipitation, and can also be used for dyeing biological bacterial tissues. It can be used for dyeing hemp, silk fabrics, paper, and coloring bamboo and wood. It can also be used in the manufacture of ink and color deposits and in the dyeing of biological and bacterial tissues. It can be mixed with alkaline violet 5BN and yellow dextrin in the ratio of 78:13:9 to form alkaline magenta blue. It is a non-toxic dye, blue in oxidized form and colorless in reduced form. When staining yeast living cells, due to the metabolism of the cells, the cells have a strong reducing ability, which can make the blue oxidized type of magenta blue into a colorless reduced type, while for the weak metabolism or dead cells, there is no such reducing ability or the reducing ability is very weak, and the magenta blue is stained blue or light blue. This method can be used not only to observe yeast cell morphology but also to identify dead cells and living cells of yeast.
Production Method:

- N, N-dimethylaniline as the main raw material, first by nitrosation, reduction to get p-aminodimethylaniline, then by Na2Cr2O7.Na2S2O3 oxidation, sulfide, condensation to get thiazine, and finally ZnCl2 into salt, after salt analysis, filtration, drying to get the finished product.
