White or light yellow crystalline powder, relative density 1.52, decomposition temperature 140~160℃. It is an organic foaming agent for industrial use, application areas: PE, PP, PVC, ABS, synthetic rubber, plastics, rubber blends.

What’s the application of OBSH?

Part 2: In-depth development

Suitable for the production of elastomers and thermoplastic products with atmospheric foaming or pressure expansion; foaming agent for the rubber and plastic industries. It is a widely used organosulfonyl hydrazide blowing agent and is known as a universal blowing agent.

It can be used in polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, and ABS resins, etc. It can also be used as a blowing agent for blends of rubber and synthetic resins and various synthetic rubbers. Suitable products include wallpaper, carpets, communication cables, artificial leather, and various packaging materials. Its fine and uniform pore structure is particularly suitable for the manufacture of polyethylene foam wire and cable insulation materials, microporous polyvinyl chloride paste foam, and other kinds of foam. It can be used with sodium bicarbonate to reduce the decomposition temperature. When used in neoprene, it can also promote vulcanization.
