  1. Diethylaluminium hypophosphite is used as an excellent non-halogen flame retardant for engineering plastics, such as polyamides, polyesters, thermosets, and elastomers. Diethylaluminium hypophosphite has shown excellent performance in glass-reinforced polyamide 6 and 66 composites and various polyesters (PBT and PET) in UL94 flammability tests, GWIT and GWFI tests, as well as in leakage trace index (CTI).
  2. Diethylaluminium hypophosphite acts both in the condensed phase to promote the carbon formation of polymers and also to remove the high-energy free radicals in the combustion zone. Diethylaluminium hypophosphite is often used in combination with other non-halogenated flame retardants or co-effectors such as melamine polyphosphates and melamine cyanurates.
  3. Diethylaluminium hypophosphite has both environmental and health-friendly properties.
