What’s the application of 2-Vinylpyridine?
It is mainly used for the synthesis of butyl pyridine latex, and also used for the manufacture of drugs such as cisplatin and betaine hydrochloride.
It is copolymerized with butadiene and styrene to make vinyl pyridine modified latex, which is also used as a binder. The oxidation of poly-2-vinyl pyridine is used to obtain the drug Cresilpine for the prevention and treatment of silicosis; the product is also the intermediate of vasodilator Betadine hydrochloride. It is also used in photographic negatives to eliminate vignetting layer and polymer electrolyte.
Organic synthesis, pharmaceutical synthesis intermediates, can be used for the synthesis of butyl pyridine latex, also used in the manufacture of cisplatin (treatment of silicosis drugs), accompanied by Tadalidine hydrochloride (vasodilator), ion exchange resin, chemical film, etc.
