Used in the production of reactive red M-80, M-10B, reactive red violet X-2R and other dyestuffs as well as the production of cyanobenzoic acid to produce the drug p-carboxybenzylamine. P-aminobenzoic acid can be used as sunscreen, its derivatives p-dimethylcarbamic acid octyl ester, is an excellent sunscreen agent, the trade name PadimateO.

 

 

  1. Use as a reagent for the determination of copper. It is used in the synthesis of esters, folic acid and azo dyes. Use as an analytical reagent, sunscreen, also used in pharmaceutical and dye industry
